GPS Anti-Jam Engineer (CA11-02)
Description
Develop anti-jam requirements, processes, and methodologies to implement GPS Protection of Navigation (PRONAV) in military Global Positioning System (GPS) Precise Positioning Service (PPS) User Equipment (UE). Support establishment of PRONAV security certification infrastructure and execution of PRONAV security certification process. Identify GPS jamming threats, vulnerabilities, and risks, and develop mitigation strategies. Perform technical analysis of contractor-developed anti-jam solutions for GPS PPS UE, including the allocation of anti-jam requirements to hardware and/or software, and evaluate artifacts for compliance with PRONAV anti-jam requirements. Review contractor anti-jam test and verification plans, and witness contractor testing as needed. Perform independent anti-jam modeling, simulation, test, and verification as needed. Draft, compile, and submit evaluation reports and recommendations to the Government upon completion of anti-jam evaluations.

Education and Experience
BS Electrical Engineering plus 10 years of relevant experience or MS Electrical Engineering plus 5 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
Understanding of Navigation Warfare (NAVWAR). Technical knowledge of GPS signal characteristics and GPS UE signal processing. Understanding of GPS jamming techniques and scenarios to deny, disrupt, degrade, and deceive GPS receiver operations. Understanding of countermeasures to mitigate the effects of GPS jamming. Understanding of anti-jam theory, analysis, modeling, and simulation. Experience with anti-jam test and evaluation. Experience with jamming threat, vulnerability, and risk assessments.
