Plans & Policy Support Analyst (NM11-01)
Description
Provide on-site support to USSTRATCOM/JFCC-Space/Joint Navigation Warfare Center (JNWC) Plans and Programs Division. The JNWC mission is to enable Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) superiority for the Department of Defense, interagency partners, and the coalition. The Plans and Policy Analyst provides inputs to national and strategic level DoD doctrine and policy which address the NAVWAR mission areas including space, electronic warfare, and cyber domains. Reviews and provides recommended inputs to appropriate OSD, JS, and Service component doctrine as well as maintains visibility on document revision cycles. Provides planning support for COCOM Strategic Instructions, OPLANS, CONPLANS, and CONOPS. Applies integration, collaboration, and project management skills to prepare NAVWAR strategy and policy briefings, information papers, and course of action recommendations for leadership within the DoD, interagency, coalition, and NATO NAVWAR community. Works in collaboration with the JNWC Warfighter Support division to ensure current and proposed NAVWAR operational principles are reflected in strategic doctrine.

Education and Experience
BS or BA degree. Twelve years in related technical/operations field.
Qualifications
COCOM, JS, or OSD staff experience. Familiarity with OSD, JS, COCOM, MAJCOM, and Service Component level doctrine, policy, and plans experience.
Required
Must be US Government Security Clearance Eligible. Flexibility for travel (1-2 weekday trips per month). Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications. General project management, process analysis, and military decision making process skills.
Desired
Prior military policy, doctrine, or planning background and real world operations experience. Experience as a staff officer at the OSD, JS, or COCOM level. Familiar with service level doctrine commands such as Army TRADOC. Familiar with COCOM and OSD planning and operations processes. Knowledgeable in Electronic Warfare, Space Operations, or Cyber Operations. Familiar with force development and transformation goals and processes. Background in JCIDS principles including requirements and acquisition/program management. Experience in COCOM JOPES and deliberate planning processes. Experience with Department-level working groups, steering committees, and collaborative NATO and coalition venues.
