PRONAV Security Engineer/Analyst (CA11-04)
Description
Plan and execute the Information Assurance (IA) activities supporting the implementation of Global Positioning System (GPS) Protection of Navigation (PRONAV) into military GPS Precise Positioning Service (PPS) User Equipment (UE). Support the establishment of the PRONAV security certification infrastructure and the execution of the PRONAV security certification process. Interpret and apply the DoD IA policies, DoD GPS Security Policy, Security Doctrine for GPS PPS User Segment Equipment, and related security guidance documents. Assist in the development of PRONAV security requirements, certification process, protection profiles, and evaluation methodologies. Draft or revise related PRONAV documents. Identify PRONAV security risks and develop mitigation strategies. Perform technical analysis of GPS UE contractor-developed PRONAV solutions, to include the contractors allocation of security requirements to hardware and/or software, and evaluate artifacts for compliance with applicable PRONAV security requirements.

Education and Experience
BS degree plus 10 years of relevant experience or MS degree plus 5 years of relevant experience.
Qualifications
Understanding of DoD Information Assurance. Familiarity with Common Criteria for Information Technology Security Evaluations and/or National Security Agency Cryptographic Certification Process. General knowledge of cryptographic keys and processing. General knowledge of GPS PPS receiver signal and data processing. General knowledge of microelectronics hardware. Experience with hardware and software development. Experience with development and implementation of security policies, information assurance strategies, and/or security architectures. Experience with security evaluation and certification processes.
